Whisky Dick Wildlife Area Hike & Camp

Friday April 24 - Sunday April 26
My plan is to drive down Friday evening after 6:00 PM ( I get off work at 5:00 PM).  Drive and sleep in the car Friday night.  I have some usual locations where I crash for the night.  Saturday, finish the drive if necessary.  Maybe grab a bite to eat at some random place, then find the trailhead.
All of my hikes are planned in the CalTopo App!  It is awesome if you do not have it, you are missing out.  The map can be found at https://caltopo.com/m/D4AA31B. All of this summer’s Koski PWC hikes will be on this link.  The hike is by the Columbia River near the Ginkgo Petrified Forest, north of I-90. The day one hike is the pink line, and the day two route is the turquoise line.  My plan is to camp next to the Columbia River.
Overall distance is: 22 miles
Day one’s estimated elevation gain is 900 ft.
Day two has 2.600 feet of gain to get back to the car.
I imagine this trip to be a treeless, possibly windy, exercise hike with scenery and lots of spring wildflowers.  I have hiked here before, and it is a unique change of scenery.
Contact me if you desire to hike something random!   If you like to go light and get exercise, contact me!
