Part One, getting started.
First of all, open a new browser window or tab and navigate to the Quickr Pickr website. http://quickrpickr.com/ Once you are there, enter the flickr username you use to log in to flickr. This is your username, not what you named your flickr page. After entering your flickr username you can now click the display photos button.
On the next page you will see the last 20 photos you submitted to flickr. Now all you do is check the photos you want to post on the forum. You can also specify what size photo to display, what kind of link back to use if any and whether or not to show the description you created for each pic when you submitted them to flickr. I do not recommend using the large size or original size, the default medium seems to work great. Now click the Generate HTML button. (Note: if your pictures do not show up on the forum after going through all of this, you may need to un-check the enclose option.)
When the next page opens, simply highlight the BBcode and copy it by right clicking and selecting copy ( Mac users, you know what to do).
Now you can go to the other browser window or tab where you have the forum topic open that you want to place the pictures into and paste the bbcode into the edit post field. At this point you can preview the pics or submit the post or whatever you want. The hard part is done and your flickr pics are now posted.
Part two, using sets to select pictures.
This part of the tutorial will give you a tip for Quickr Pickr to make it easier the next time you use it.
First, when you were following the instructions above, you should have seen a link on this page that looks something like this. Of course the username will be different depending on what you entered as your username. Click this link.
When the page opens you should see the address, in the address bar of your web browser.
At the end of the address add /sets. The address should now look something like this.
Press enter to go to the page you just entered. You should now see a page like the one in the image below with all of your flickr sets listed, assuming that you organized your photos into sets on flickr. I would bookmark this address at this point as it is quite handy. Click on the set that you want to use. (If the set is large, it might take a while for the page to load.)
Now you should see all the pictures you have in that set and you can check the ones you want. Follow the directions above to post them to the forum.
Here are all the URLs you can use in Quickr Pickr and their usage. For me, sets is adequate but you may find one of these other links useful.
Display Last 21 Pictures: quickrpickr.com/users/your username
Display Last # Pictures: quickrpickr.com/users/your username/number
Display all pictures in a tag: quickrpickr.com/users/your username/tags/tag
Choose a set to display: quickrpickr.com/users/your username/sets
One of the limitations I have noticed when using the sets page is once you have viewed it, you have to wait a few minutes to get to the page again. Not sure if its a bug or a function of the site. This shouldn't be much of an issue if you are only using images from the one set you selected.
Below are the results from a few images I selected in Quickr Pickr. I didn't tell you that you could remove the quickr pickr link at the bottom of the post.
