Nine Stream

Postby The Other Doug » Fri Jun 18, 2010 7:02 pm

Myself, the other Doug, and Brian Conley left for Nine Stream at 905 am and noted that the sign said 10 miles.
We expected like 18.5 round trip, not 20.
So, at noon, we hit Nine Stream, 10 miles later.
We took a long lunch and I changed socks to avoid blisters. (I did not succeed).
Headed back.
Only saw one guye on the way in and a few on the way out..
I, the other Doug, lost 7.8 pounds on the round trip. That is lost body weight. Amazing !

If you guys had done this on a weekend day I might have joined you. I always enjoy a nice long hike. The farthest up that way I've been was Camp Pleasant many years ago. My friend Cheryl and I day-hiked up to Gladys Divide last year which is above Flapjack Lakes. That was about a 19 mile day with some good elevation gain. Keep the reports coming!
