2012 SUNSHINE TRIPS Planning Meeting - March 4, 2012

We will be meeting at Tony Abruzzo’s home at 3 pm on March 4, 2012 todiscuss this years SunShine Trips. For directions or info. give Tony
a call at 360-871-5754. Our major focus will be the trip to CanyonlandsNational Park (Squaw Flats) April 23 thru 29. Getting any campsite
at Squaw Flats is difficult at best, getting the group site is verydifficult. We mailed in 15 lottery forms and only hit pay dirt with one.

Bottom line is we were lucky toget our first choice date!

Squaw Flats Campground is south of Moab, once there you have more thanforty miles of great hiking trails right out of the campground.
The site accommodates between 12 and 50 people, with both sites for RV’sand tents. This is a very nice campground! We need to get
people signed up and paid up ($3 per day per person) at this planningmeeting.

The one thing all these trips have in common is sunny warm weather! TheLake Cle Elum trip offers kayaking
right out of our campsite, nearby hiking, and the John Wayne bike trail. InAugust we will visit the Bend Oregon area which offers just
about any outdoor activity. Last year we found out that kayaking the HighLakes offers a world class experience!

In September we will visit the Black Hills of South Dakota and ride theMickelson Bike Trail (109 miles) which runs north to south thru the
heart of the Black Hills. We will be renting a house near Hill City andcosts should be approximately $40/$50 per night per person (food &
lodging). In addition to the bike trail the Black Hills offers climbing,hiking and sightseeing.

On the way to the Black Hills we plan on visiting a Wild Horse Range fortymiles east of Bridger Montana. You need a high clearance vehicle
and will be camping at 9000 feet. You can expect great scenery and anopportunity to see dozens of wild horses. We need people make a
commitment to this trip (Black Hills & Horse Range) and pay up byAugust.
