Dusty Lake – overnight backpack

This trip will be dependent on the weather cooperating. We'll be meeting at the Lower Ancient Lake Trailhead at 10:00 am. Please use the RSVP at the bottom of this event to register.
The water in the area is irrigation runoff so you'll want to pack enough to cook with and drink. I recommend at least one gallon per person, plus whatever you would normally carry in your Nalgene bottles.
If you would like to contribute to campfire efforts, consider packing either a nice chunk of wood or two, or a Dura-Log.
The hike is only a couple miles but there is a 10 mile loop for those looking for more adventure, including the nearby Ancient Lakes. This is a great opportunity to get in a short early overnight shakedown trip before the high mountain trails open up.
Driving directions: For the lower trailhead: Take I-90 east to exit 149, SR 281. Go north towards Quincy. After 5.6 miles turn left on White Trail Road, and follow that 7.8 miles to road 9-NW. Continue 5.9 miles on this road (it drops onto a bench and doubles back to the south). Park in the parking area at the end of the road.
A Discover Pass is required to park.
