If you haven't noticed, there is a new link on the website called Field Guide. This Field Guide is a wiki style guide where anyone with a little internet knowledge can contribute. Currently the guide is focused on area trails including the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas. Hopefully in the future and with community involvement, we can include a flora and fauna section of the wiki. Currently, the biggest need is for original trail descriptions and images that can be included on each trail's information page. The guide is mostly set up now with a framework of most of our area trails that I could find info about. Check it out by clicking the field guide link in the nav bar above. If you would like to contribute, you can send the webmaster trail descriptions and images of trails, or better yet, you can, with a little instruction, be taught how to edit wiki articles yourself. I sincerely hope the membership will take ownership of the guide and contribute since there is a vast amount of knowledge among our members that would be great to utilize.
